BloFin needed a decentralised perpetual exchange that could compete with the UX quality of centralised alternatives. The challenge was making complex DeFi trading mechanics — perpetuals, liquidation, leverage — feel approachable without dumbing them down for power traders.
Most DEXs at the time were either too complex for new users or too simplified for serious traders. We needed both in one product.
I designed the complete product as a solo contributor, leveraging AI-agentic workflows to maintain velocity that would typically require a team of 2-3 designers.
The core design framework was built on three principles:
Order entry was designed to minimise error states — the most expensive kind of UX failure in a trading context. Real-time P&L visibility is present at every step of position management, not just on a summary page.
Mobile-first perpetual trading is rare in DeFi. We built responsive trading views that maintain full functionality on mobile, because traders check positions everywhere.
TxFlow is live on mainnet, processing real trades with real liquidity. The design system scales across desktop and mobile trading interfaces, and the product successfully serves both novice and professional traders.
I'm available for product design roles and contract work in DeFi, Web3, and fintech.
